REPORT: Peji Co / Rosebud Gardens General Manager CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16/Hour Starting

POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting Peji Co property, personnel, and cannabis products at retail, cultivation, and processing facilities. This role enforces site access policies, monitors security systems, and ensures compliance with all applicable tribal, state, and company security procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to prevent unauthorized access.

• Verify employee and visitor identification credentials at all entry points.

• Patrol facilities regularly, ensuring safety, compliance, and secure perimeter integrity.

• Respond to alarms, disturbances, or incidents in accordance with protocol.

• Operate and monitor cameras, alarm, and access control systems.

• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately and timely.

• Assist in emergency preparedness drills and evacuation procedures.

• Maintain professional and calm demeanor while interacting with customers, staff, and visitors.

• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required.

• Enforce compliance with REDCO and Peji Co security policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.

• Ability to remain alert, observant, and responsive in all situations.

• Strong verbal communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.

• Familiarity with tribal regulations and cannabis industry compliance a plus.

• Must pass background check and meet REDCO eligibility requirements for security personnel.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Standing and patrolling for long periods of time, both indoors and outdoors.

• Exposed to varying weather conditions while on duty.

• May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, or rotating shifts.

• Use of radios, flashlights, and surveillance equipment

REQUIRED LICENSE:

· Tribal MMJ Employee Badge (Must be able to obtain a badge prior to beginning employment)
