JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Operations Officer plays a critical role in supports the day-to-day activities of REDCO’s various business entities. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Business Operations Officer will help in employing the strategic vision, cultural awareness, and business acumen to drive operational efficiency, achieve organizational objectives and contribute to the overall success of Sicangu Co.
As a member of the Sicangu Co team, this position comes with a great responsibility in maintaining the health of our ecosystem and achieving our economic goals. The Business Operations Officer will assist the COO in coordinating with finance, administrative services, human resources, fund development and the Executive team to set and implement performance goals and collect and analyze data with a focus on continuous improvement towards Sicangu Co’s economic development growth objectives.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Operational Leadership:
· Assist the COO in providing operational guidance to managers of Rosebud Office Solutions, Sicangu Propane, Rosebud Facilities Management, Lakolya Waoniya, Rosebud Farm Company, Wolakota, Peji Co, Human Resources, Marketing and Administrative Services to ensure alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
· Monitor the performance of each subsidiary and recommend improvement plans when necessary to optimize efficiency and productivity.
· Assist in budgeting, resource allocations and operational planning for the subsidiaries and departments in coordination with the COO.
Performance Leadership:
· Assist the COO in monitoring performance goals for each manager, in line with corporate objectives, and monitor progress towards achieving them in collaboration with the executive team.
· Identify and address any performance issues or conflicts that may arise within the subsidiaries promptly and efficiently.
Process Improvement:
· Assist in identifying areas for process optimization and standardization across subsidiaries to enhance operational efficiency and reduce redundancies.
· Assist in implementing the best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive increased productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Risk Management:
· Work closely with the COO to identify and mitigate operational risks across al subsidiaries.
· Assist in developing and implementing contingency plans to address potential disruptions to operations.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
· Ensure that subsidiaries are in compliance with relevant industry regulations and legal requirements.
· Establish and maintain strong governance and internal control mechanisms to safeguard company assets and maintain ethical practices.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
·Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or related field (required)
· Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field (preferred)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships across the organization
· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate, driving performance and achieving results
· Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, intraorganizational collaboration and operational efficiency
· Adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced and evolving environment
