JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Operations Assistant plays a supporting role in helping the Business Operations Officer and the Chief Operating Officer ensure smooth daily operations across REDCO’s business enterprises. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to grow in business administration, operations, or tribal enterprise management. This position will assist with administrative and operational task, data entry and tracking, communication between departments, and basic coordination functions that support overall efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Operational Support:
• Assist the Business Operations Officer with daily operational tasks across REDCO enterprises, including Rosebud Office Solutions, Sicangu Propane, Rosebud Facilities Management, Rosebud Farm Company, WoLakota, Peji Co, and other ventures.
• Support scheduling, tracking, and documentation of meetings, reports, and operational updates.
• Maintain and update internal tracking systems, logs, and shared files. Administrative Tasks:
• Perform routine data entry and reporting tasks to support business operations and performance monitoring.
• Support collection and organization of operational metrics and reporting from subsidiary businesses.
• Help prepare materials and reports for leadership meetings. Coordination and Communication:
• Act as a point of contact between business managers and Central Support Services for routine follow-ups.
• Track open action items and deadlines to support project and initiative completion.
• Support interdepartmental communication to improve efficiency and reduce delays. Compliance and Documentation:
• Assist with maintaining documentation related to policies, procedures, and compliance records.
• Support recordkeeping and filing requirements to ensure organizational accountability and accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or related field (preferred)
• 1-2 years of administrative, operations, or office experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships across the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assignments
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, intraorganizational collaboration and operational efficiency
• Adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced and evolving environment
