About Career Foundations Cohort:

The Career Foundations Cohort is a new partnership between Sicangu Co and Sicangu Nation Employment Training Program (SNETP) designed to empower community members by facilitating the development of professional workforce skills for any career path. This 6- month program provides hands-on job experience, a short-term Customer Service Certificate from SGU, and monthly workshops to support personal, professional, and cultural growth.

6-month paid program with Customer Service IOT Certificate Class from SGU and positions available at either the Boys and Girls Club of Rosebud or at Sicangu Co’s Marketing department ($15/hr, 40 hours a week).

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL:

Job Title: Youth Development Professional (CFC Program Participant)

Position Type: Hybrid | Temporary (Aug. 4, 2025 – Feb. 4, 2026)

Location: Boys & Girls Club of Rosebud

Position Summary:

Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) are the heart of our daily programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Rosebud. YDPs build meaningful relationships with youth and deliver engaging, culturally relevant, and age-appropriate activities. This position is ideal for individuals who are flexible, creative, and committed to helping Lakota youth “do hard things” and grow into the next generation of leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement daily programming and activities across multiple domains: academic

support, cultural learning, recreation, and social-emotional development.

• Lead and supervise small groups of youth in structured and unstructured settings.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of club spaces.

• Transport youth safely to and from activities (if qualified and assigned).

• Provide support in kitchen operations, as needed, including snack or meal service.

• Assist with data collection, attendance, and documentation required for grants and

reporting

• Communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator or Site Director regarding

behavior concerns, supply needs, and ideas for improving programming.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Valid driver’s license preferred (required if transporting youth).

• Background check and drug test required prior to hire.

MARKETING & CONTENT ASSISTANT:

Position Type: Hybrid | Temporary (Aug. 4, 2025 – Feb. 4, 2026)

Location: Mission, SD / Remote

Position Overview:

Sicangu Co’s Marketing Department is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Marketing & Content Assistant through the CFC Program. This individual will support storytelling and communications across Sicangu Co by capturing the spirit of our work, highlighting staff, volunteers, and community members involved in our programs.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, tech-savvy, and eager to grow their skills in content creation, communications, and digital marketing. This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-person content capturing and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture and Create Content: Attend Sicangu Co events and programs to photograph, film, and document stories featuring staff, volunteers, and program participants.

● Interview Story Subjects: Conduct short interviews with staff and community members to help share authentic voices across platforms.

● Content Development: Assist in brainstorming and creating ideas for social media, newsletters, and web content that reflect Sicangu Co’s mission and impact.

● Website Support: Upload and format newsletter content and program updates on the Sicangu Co website.

● Merchandise Support: Help manage merchandise inventory, assist with packing/shipping, and contribute to marketing efforts for our online store.

● Administrative Tasks: Provide light administrative support such as organizing digital assets, taking notes, and helping schedule content timelines.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age with a HS Diploma or GED (as required by CFC program).

● Comfortable using a computer, camera, and basic editing tools (or willing to learn).

● Strong communication skills; outgoing and confident when speaking with others.

● Creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

● Interest in storytelling, community work, and Indigenous empowerment.

● Reliable access to transportation for in-person events and assignments (as needed).
